Segway Requirements:

• Riders must be age 12 and older and weigh between 100 - 250lbs (45 to 115 kilos). Riders 12 - 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

• Segway Tour is Not Recommended for anyone over the age of 70 years. Pregnant women will not be allowed to participate in Segway Tour for saftey reasons. No refunds for any member of your party if you do not meet these criteria.

BOOK ALCATRAZ EARLY TO GET BEST DEPARTURE TIMES:

We recommend booking weekend Alcatraz at least 10-14 days in advance to ensure your requested tour time. Very limited tickets are available for holiday weekends. All holiday weekend cruises will sell out very early. Maximum 8 tickets per order.

If you wish to have Alcatraz reserved on a separate day or a specific time - please indicate that on the comments section of the order form.

• Night Tour: Adult: $35.00 * Junior 12-17: $34.00 * Seniors 62+: $32.25 * Child 5-11: $20.50

We will book your Alcatraz ticket for you upon receipt of your Combination Tour order. You will receive two travel vouchers and two separate credit card charges. All prices subject to change without notice. The National Park Pass is not applicable to the Alcatraz Tour. All Alcatraz Sales are Final. No exchanges, refunds or cancellations.

 

Night Tour Departure Times and Dates :
Fall and Winter: November - March: 5:00 PM Friday and Saturday Nights - We will add additional days with a tour of 6 or more riders.

Spring and Summer: April until October: 7:30 PM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights. We will add additional days with a tour of 6 or more riders.

SEGWAY NIGHT TOUR LOCATION: Segway Tours depart from the rear parking lot at 757 Beach Street near the corner of Hyde Street. Located across Beach Street from the Hyde Street Cable Car turn around in Fisherman's Wharf. A Wells Fargo Bank ATM is at the entrance to our training area.

Important: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled Segway tour time to check in and start your tour and training on time. The tour and training will last 2.25-2.5 hours and include stops for� pictures. Tours are limited to nine riders.Reservations are required.

Return Details:
Segway Tour concludes at the original departure point in Fisherman's Wharf.

Payment:
Payment in advance by major credit card; Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover Card. An additional Segway damage deposit must be secured with a Credit Card upon check in for your tour.

Confirmation & Travel Vouchers
For every confirmed booking you will receive 2 e-mails with your E-Ticket Vouchers - when both parts of your combo tour booking are confirmed. Please present the 1st E-Ticket voucher at the Segway Tour Office for your Segway Night Tour. The 2nd email will be your receipt for the Alcatraz reservation.

Alcatraz Tickets are held at Pre-Paid Will Call:

Your Alcatraz boarding tickets will be held at the Marine terminal at the Alcatraz Cruises Dock at PIER 33.
When you present your Alcatraz Voucher, picture ID and credit card used on the reservation transaction the boarding tickets will be issued. Be sure to show up 30 to 45 minutes before your Alcatraz cruise! Tickets may not be picked up prior to the tour date.

 

This Combination tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Who can ride a Segway? Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities?

Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why we offer 35-45 minutes of training so you can get familiar with riding a Segway. A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues.

Rider Requirements:

AGE /WEIGHT / RIDER REQUIREMENTS: To All Guests for the Segway Tour: All guests must be age 12 or older AND weigh between 100-250 lbs. (46-115 klilos) No pregnant guests. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian on the tour. No refunds for any member of your party if you do not meet these criteria. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up.

Segway riding is not recommended for pregnant women. Unfortunately, pregnant women will not be permitted to participate.

All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours.

A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues. You will be standing for 2 Hours. Please call if you have questions. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up.

The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds (46-113 kilos.) Helmets and reflective vests are provided and required.

We do require that all riders be at least 12 years old.

Riders under 18 must be accompanied on the tour by a parent or guardian.

Liability Agreement:
All customers will be required to review and sign our tour agreement and liability waiver before starting their tour. The San Francisco Electric Tour Company assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road and other conditions beyond control, in addition to insufficient numbers of guests. Not responsible for loss or damage to property.

Changes to a Segway Reservation and Cancellation and No Show Policy:

Reservations require a full deposit via Credit Card. We will send an e-mail confirmation of the date and time of your tour. Deposits are fully refundable if the reservation is canceled 3 days -72 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour. We have a limited amount of Segways. No Shows are charged in full. The deposit WILL NOT be refunded for any reason within 72 hours of your scheduled tour. A signed liability waiver is required prior to your tour departure.

IMPORTANT Check your Confirmation for Correct Date and Time:

It is your responsibility to be at the designated tour location on the correct date. Please check your confirmation carefully. No refund for no-shows.

Languages:
Segway Tours are conducted in English.

Meals Souvenirs and Miscellaneous Costs:
Tour prices do not include Meals, Beverages, Admission Fees, Tolls or Souvenirs.

Tour Size, Routing and Weather:
We reserve the right to change the size or routing of the tour to meet demands for that specific day. San Francisco is famous for the fog! Our tours run fog, light rain or shine. We always suggest multiple layers of warm clothing for any San Francisco activity. Summer afternoon temperatures can be in the 50's. Rain gear is available for those infrequent rainy days. Segways are designed to run in any weather. If seasonal fog or weather obscures the view, tour routes may be altered. You will not be charged if we cancel a tour.

Hotel pick up:
We do not offer Hotel Pick up service this tour.

IMPORTANT: ALCATRAZ FERRY AND AUDIO TOUR: ALL ALCATRAZ SALES ARE FINAL The National Park Pass is not applicable to the Alcatraz Tour. No exchanges, refunds or cancellations. You may purchase up to 8 tickets on the web. Alcatraz is a National Park and does not offer any refunds or discounts.
